And

Choices.
When there’s too much
to choose from –
I panic.
It keeps me off balance.
It pushes me off center.
Perhaps,
if I were to choose from
five
I’d probably to able to pick
one.
But from seventy?
How can I choose
my
HERO?

REFLECTIONS
Leviticus 17-19

Leviticus 17:14
“You must not eat the blood of any creature, because the life of every creature is its blood; anyone who eats it must be cut off.”

Goodbye, dinuguan, batchoy, at inihaw na dugo!

Leviticus 18:22
Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable…

Oh.

Leviticus 19:1
Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.

Father God, such a tall order.
But I am grateful that in spite of myself, you continue to shelter me under your wings.

A few noteworthy commands from Leviticus 19 that we tend to forget:
v.13 Do not hold back the wages of a hired man overnight.
v.17 Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in his guilt.
v.18 Love your neighbor as yourself.
v.28 Do not … put tattoo marks on yourselves.
v.32 Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly…
